Description
Form meets function with this gentleman’s Audemars Piguet Day Date timepiece. A round 18k yellow gold case surrounds the silver dial that houses the date dial at three and day dial at nine. A pair of yellow gold hands marks the automatic movement, which is shown through the applied yellow gold stick indicators as markers. Finishing this piece is the 18k yellow gold bracelet and yellow gold folding clasp. This watch is in very good condition with minor scuffing on the case, case back and bracelet.
About Audemars Piguet
Audemars Piguet is considered one of the leading producers of luxurious timepieces and one of the top three Swiss watchmakers along with Vacheron Constantin and Patek Philippe. Brought together through a shared interest in fine watch making, Jules-Louis Audemars and Edward-Auguste Piguet founded the brand in 1875 in the Joux Valley, which to this do is considered the heart of the watch making world. Known for creating their own mechanisms and movements within their own factories, Audemars Piguet is still credited for a strict control of quality and focus on perfection. The brand is credited with creating the world’s thinnest pocket watch in 1925. In 1928, they created the world’s first skeleton timepiece. Audemars Piguet introduced the famed Royal Oak Collection in 1972, which is credited with creating a market for stainless steel luxury timepiece.
