Description
Panerai has become a widely recognized brand name among serious collectors and enthusiasts. Its complication and design has not changed much since the early 1900s when Panerai supplied timepieces to the Royal Italian Navy. With a credited history and background in the armed forces, it is very safe to say that a Panerai is built to last. This gentleman's Panerai Radiomir GMT timepiece, reference PAM184, is the quintessential example of a gentleman's timepiece. A large round 42mm stainless steel case surrounds the black dial that houses the date display with magnified lens, 24-hour GMT (Greenwich Mean Tim) dial and seconds register. A pair of silver and luminescent hands marks the 35 jewel automatic OP XIII caliber movement, which is shown through the painted luminescent stick indicators and Arabic numerals as markers. The open exhibition back showcases all of the inner workings of the watch. Finishing this piece is the original Panerai black leather bracelet and stainless steel double folding clasp. This circa 2004 watch is in very good condition with minor scuffing on the case and case back and slight wear to the bracelet.
*We have measured both the maximum and minimum fit of the current watchband. Shown are the approximate measurements from the end of the watchband, not including buckle, to the first and last positions of the band. Bands can be replaced by buyer to accommodate a smaller or larger wrist size.
