Created in 1904 for the pilot, Santos-Dumont, Louis Cartier transformed the ability of telling time from the cumbersome pocket watch to the accessible wristwatch. First introduced in 1912, the Santos Galbee Collection enhanced the ability of tracking time within a refined timepiece that relied heavily on smooth lines and sleek design. Form meets function with this unisex Cartier Santos timepiece, reference W20058C4. A square stainless steel case with 18k yellow gold bezel surrounds the silver guilloche dial that houses the date display. A pair of metallic blue hands marks the automatic movement, which is shown through the painted black Roman numerals as markers. Finishing this piece is the original Cartier stainless steel and 18k yellow gold bracelet and stainless steel double folding clasp. This watch is in very good condition with minor scuffing on the case, case back and bracelet.
