Description

Finding success with their vast array of chronograph watch models, Breitling is now considered the premier watch maker for the professionals of both the Aviation and Maritime industries with their timepieces serving as the basic equipment for pilots, board engineers, and aviation personnel for over half a century. Form meets function with this gentleman's Breitling Windrider Cockpit timepiece, reference B49350. A round stainless steel case with stainless steel uni-directional bezel surrounds the black guilloche dial that houses the double register date display. A pair of silver and white hands marks the automatic Breitling 49 caliber movement, which is shown through the applied silver stick indicators and Roman numeral at 12 as markers. Finishing this piece is the original Breitling stainless steel and 18k yellow gold Pilot bracelet and stainless steel folding clasp. This watch is in very good condition with minor scuffing on the case, case back and bracelet.

About Breitling

Breitling was founded in the Swiss Jura Mountains in 1884 by Leon Breitling, who specialized in creating chronographs. In 1915, Breitling introduces the first wristwatch chronograph, which would prove to be a great asset for pilots now having portable instruments. Previously controlled by the winding crown, Breitling created the first push button chronograph with start and return to zero functions in 1923. First introduced by Breitling in the 1950s, the Aeromarine SuperOcean was created for military and professional divers to achieve depths of at least 200 meters. Originally created as the official timepiece of the Frecce Tricolori flying team, the Breitling Chronomat has long been considered the leading timepiece within the prestigious field of mechanical chronographs, which is recognized by the uni-directional rider-tab bezel. Breitling is still considered the leading maker of watches for pilots, professional divers and space professionals.
