Description
Form meets function with this woman's Breitling Callistino timepiece, reference D52045.1. A round stainless steel case with 18k yellow gold uni-directional bezel surrounds the ivory dial that houses the date display. A pair of gold and luminescent hands marks the quartz movement, which is shown through the applied gold Arabic numerals as markers. Finishing this piece is the original Breitling stainless steel and 18k yellow gold bracelet and stainless steel deployment clasp. This circa 2000 watch is in excellent condition with minor scuffing on the case back and bracelet.
About Breitling
Breitling was founded in the Swiss Jura Mountains in 1884 by Leon Breitling, who specialized in creating chronographs. In 1915, Breitling introduces the first wristwatch chronograph, which would prove to be a great asset for pilots now having portable instruments. Previously controlled by the winding crown, Breitling created the first push button chronograph with start and return to zero functions in 1923. First introduced by Breitling in the 1950s, the Aeromarine SuperOcean was created for military and professional divers to achieve depths of at least 200 meters. Originally created as the official timepiece of the Frecce Tricolori flying team, the Breitling Chronomat has long been considered the leading timepiece within the prestigious field of mechanical chronographs, which is recognized by the uni-directional rider-tab bezel. Breitling is still considered the leading maker of watches for pilots, professional divers and space professionals.
