Rolex Vintage Oyster Perpetual James Bond Submariner Stainless Steel Automatic Men's 6536 Watch
FairOne of the most popular timepieces with professional divers for over 50 years, the Rolex Oyster Perpetual Submariner developed the use of the uni-directional bezel for tracking time while submerged. Made popular by Sean Connery in his first appearance as James Bond in the 1962 film, Dr. No, the Rolex Submariner became a staple among both professional divers and watch collectors. Previously identified with the model number 6205, this gentleman's Vintage Rolex Oyster Perpetual James Bond Submariner, was renumbered as 6536 in 1955 and produced until 1959. A round stainless steel case with black enamel dual directional bezel surrounds the original gilt dial. The original pair of white and gilt Mercedes hands marks the 17 jewel perpetual automatic 1030 caliber movement, which is wound in both directions by the Rotor, is marked by the applied gilt circle and stick indicators as markers. Finishing this watch is the black crocodile bracelet and gold plated buckle. This watch is in fair vintage condition. There is scuffing on the crystal, especially a 6mm spider crack between 2 and 3. There is scuffing and discoloration on the case and case back There is discoloration and tarnishing on the dial, especially the markers.
