    Excellent
Signed Limited edition Pablo Picasso etching entitled "Nudes" from the 156 Series Reference Number 11.3.71 is studio signed as issued, lower right and numbered 42 of 50, lower left.

Considered one of the greatest and most well known artists of the twentieth century, Picasso left his mark on a variety of styles and techniques. Born the son of an academic painter, Picasso began drawing at an early age and continually perfected this aspect of his craft throughout his career. One of the artist's most frequently depicted subject matters was the nude figure.

As one of the founding members of the Cubist movement, Picasso rendered figures broken up, analyzed, and re-assembled in an abstracted form. Picasso completed the 156 Series between 1970-1972 at the end of his life, exhibiting more freedom with his figures in a sensually expressive manner while still utilizing many elements of cubism re-invented in new ways. Using few lines in a monochromatic tone, Picasso showcases his skill as a draftsman and his interest and the inspiration found with the nude female figure.
